Alec studied composition at the Junior Royal Academy of Music from 2021 to 2025 under Edmund Jolliffe and Grace-Evangeline Mason. He is grateful to currently hold a scholarship to the Royal College of Music, where he will graduate in 2029.

As a composer, He's written for various ensembles such as symphony orchestra, string orchestra, wind quintet, mixed duos, solo piano, symphonic winds and more, with works performed by the JRAM symphony orchestra, Kyan Quartet, and senior RAM students.
​
As a pianist and conductor, he has performed in prestigious venues including LSO St Luke’s and Cadogan Hall, appearing as a soloist in Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 and as part of the choir for Daphnis et Chloé. He has also conducted his works various times both in performances and workshops.​

Alec Imamovic is a UK-born composer, conductor and pianist based in London

whose music seeks to bridge the past and future. Grounded in a deep respect for musical tradition, Alec strives to create work that is both innovative and accessible, connecting styles and pushing boundaries while maintaining an emotional and aesthetic resonance with a wide audience.

His compositional voice spans a diverse range of styles, from lush late Romanticism to bold contemporary idioms. Alec is driven by a desire to explore new compositional techniques, always searching for fresh ways to express timeless ideas.
